Reading	We are beginning to learn about each of the long vowel sounds.  This week we'll begin to discuss more long a words. We will also be reading about Red-Eyed Tree Frogs.
Spelling	This week we will focus on long a words spelled -ay.
Math	This week we're going to be celebrating our 100th day of school! We'll take some time to focus on the number 100.  We'll also continue working on our basic addition and subtraction math facts by learning about fact triangles and fact families.
Social Studies	This week we're going to focus on the penny turning 100 years old!
Science	We're going to get ready for Groundhog's Day next Monday by studying about weather.  We're going to end the week by making our own predictions about Punxatony Phil.
